The Layman's Guide to Implementing AI In Your Business

Congratulations, if you have found this page then you have found the common man's guide to what we do at Big Timber. This is the only page on this entire website that was not written by AI.

Myself (Matt) and my co-founder and CTO (Tim) are involved in, own, and operate multiple businesses. When I met Tim, I was a total luddite when it came to AI, and I mostly thought it was fairy dust and a bunch of grifters trying to sell you "agents" through social media ads. I consider myself very technically proficient — I've overseen architecture and development of some very valuable systems in my other businesses. But Tim is the genius and the genesis of Big Timber.

Tim has taught me about AI by showing me. In all of my businesses, Tim has implemented AI into our workflow. Starting in 2026, Model Context Protocol (MCP), changed everything. MCP is what allows us to string all of these systems together and have AI from one platform or software talk to and instruct another. The practical applications are growing exponentially as the software platforms you already use in your business are adopting and making their software capable of communicating with AI tooling.

Much like an IT department, a business needs expert help in understanding how to take advantage of these new technologies. Big Timber is that expert help.

If you are interested in working with us, or just learning more about how AI can be applied to your business, please fill out the form on our website and we would love to meet with you. We will demonstrate to you, though IP we own and workflows that exist in the other businesses we own, how this works.

As a starting point, all of our implementations require your business to use Slack or Microsoft Teams. These communication tools will serve as the interface that your entire team uses to communicate with AI. If you want something done, you will simply tag your agent in a message. It can be as simple as a question, or complex as back and forth conversation wherein you scope and build a recurring process with a green light to execute the project end to end.

Here's an example with the same mastermind agent you will have in your business (it is GPT, Claude, and Gemini — each has its strengths and weaknesses).

Having witnessed the impact, value, and speed at which AI is transforming business, we launched Big Timber. We want to help other business owners and teams, whose business models we are personally familiar with, take advantage of AI. Your business will get work done 24 hours a day, not just from 9-5. This isn't the same as giving your employees a ChatGPT license and asking them to use it, this is deliberate mapping and prioritization of the areas your business stands to benefit the most from AI workflows.

Thank you for considering Big Timber — we would love to speak with you if you are interested in learning more.

Sincerely,

Matt & Tim (Founders)
